Report as finished - automatically

ReportReport
Posted on by

Dear Users,

Is it possible in standard AX 2012 Cu9 version to parametrize item to reach effect as below:

-> I produce item in 3 steps. Op. 10, 20, 30.

-> I use job registration form. I registered 10 and 20 operations. I would like to report as finished automatically when I finish last op. (numer 30 in my example). I registerd 10 pcs -> system should post 10 pcs of finished good.

I would like to reach that effect to avoid the situation that somebody has to post journals when I produce items which are only PARTS for main finished goods. ( Parts have BOM level = 1, finished goods=0)

    Hi Pawel,

    I don't know too much about MES but as it is just a way of logging operations I would assume it follows the standard AX logic of completing works orders in which case you can use the same parameters that work for standard processing.

    If you go into:

    Production Control Parameters > Journals > Route card/Job card journal

    You will find a parameter called automatic report as finished. Tick this flag on and it will automatically R.A.F the works order when you complete the last operation in the route.

    Give this a go. Hope it helps.

    Regards

    Amar

    A late response to this answer…

    When having this parameter set the system tries to report as finished on the location setup on the production order. Our logistic department complete the last operation and puts the goods on different warehouse locations each time. Is there a way to get the report as finished journal opened to be able to set the location manually before the journal is posted?
