Hi,

I created a P.O from one P.R, which has two items lines. This is from one vendor ABC.

The P.R is already approved and P.O is made.

But Now, I want to shift one line to another vendor, because we want to purchase the one item from another vendor.

Can anybody help me.

Hi Muneer,

This would be a manual process. You can create a new purchase order for the other vendor and cancel one or more lines on the first PO.

It logically has to be a manual process because if the PO is alredy released, then you need to first agree with the vendor on original PO that he will accept the change. He might already have incurred expense, or even have shipped the goods, or may not think it worth the effort to supply only one line.

So you need at least to get acknowledgement of the proposed order change.

Whether you have change control enabled and whether you need to get reapproval for a different vendor for the PR depends on your set ups and those affect how/what you can do.

You may need to start the PR process again. Or get management approval for a one off manual PO exception
