Receipts designer in AX 2012

Hi,

I have to design a receipt for the retails from AX 2012.

I am finding following issues in making one.

1. Why I cannot show the fields present in the header in the footer as well?

2. Is there any way to show the fields present in the header in the footer line as well?

Please be advise to comment as it is really an urgent requirement from the client and everyone is new to receipts in my area.

Also, if there is any good documentation or video where I can go ahead and learn more. I have the basic idea on the same. Thanks.

It's bee a while for this one, but I ran into the issue myself today and try as I might, I couldn't find any documentation about how to accomplish this, I'm sure it's out there somewhere.  In the receipt designer, not only can you drag and drop fields from the fields list to the design surface, but you can also drag and drop them to another area.  In my case I wanted to put the “Customer order bar code” in the header, but it was only available in the Footer items.

To resolve the issue, from the receipt designer click on the “Footer” button at the bottom left of the screen.  Scroll through the list of items available to the footer until you see “Customer order bar code”.  Click on that, then drag/drop it on the “Header” button at the bottom left of the screen.  Click on the “Header”  button now and scroll through the list of items available to the header all the way to the bottom.  “Customer order bar code” will be the last item.
