Hello

We are using incadea.myengine, a microsoft dynamics nav 2009 r2 based system.

I need to filter out certain type of items by VINNR (* are unknown letter/number) jmzke****00109955 up to jmzke****00248136. so the numberintervall range i need to see is between 109955 to 248136(this is what i need to filter)

I have tried the following filters:
jmzke****00109995..248136

and all other variables from this site:
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh879066(v=nav.71).aspx

Please help me get the filter command right.

    Hi,

While using the wildcards (*) in filter, you need to enclose them in single quotes, like the below:-

    'jmzke*109955'..'jmzke*248136'

Please elaborate on how your item numbering scheme currently looks and what you need to do. It sounds like you are saying you want to filter so that you only see the numbers jmzke****00109955 up to jmzke****00248136, where the asterisks represent unknown characters?

The problem seems that you don't know all the characters for the first and last value? You need to get the full Item numbers for the first and last values, then you can put ".." between them to get what you want.

    For example,

    jmzkeAAAA00109955..jmzkeZZZZ00248136

You could try the following, but it would be better if you knew the first and last values:

    *109955..*248136

    *00109955..*00248136

    *00109955*..*00248136*

    ..*00248136 & *00109955..

    >*00109955&<*00248136

    >*00109955*&<*00248136*
