Hi

I have newly installed microsoft dynamics gp and I am unable to login in the Utilities. I am able to access the server using "sa" credentials via management studio however when I try to do it via Utilities I receive the following message:

Your attempt to log in to the server failed because an unknown error occured when the user ID and password were being verified. Attempt to log in again.

Please advice what I can do for this, Thanks!

    Hi Newbie123,

From where are you trying to launch the GP Utilities ? is that on the server itself ? from a remote workstation ? when you did install the GP client, did you specified to the setup program to create the ODBC connection ?

Also, please check with your ODBC connection in windows that you can actively connect with the 'sa' user to the SQL server.. if not, it could be that your windows firewall is denying the connection to the SQL server port (please check your SQL documentation).
