Management Reporter- Row Definition and Reporting Tree

Hello,

We have a P&L report that uses a tree.  We would like the Top Level Summary unit to report summary lines and the remaining units report detail lines.

I understand you can only have 1 Row Definition defined in the tree and use the Financial Dimensions link to set this up.  I setup an FD2 for the Summary lines and FD1 remains the detail lines.

I checked the "Use row definition from the reporting tree" checkbox in the Report Definition, however the Top Level Summary continues to report the detail.

I found the article below.  It seems this can be done.

    Hello,

This is from our management reporter specialist in regards to the above post:

It sounds like they have a row definition that has ‘summary’ rows, and a row definition that has ‘detail’ rows.  They want to use the ‘summary’ row definition for the summary node of a reporting tree, and the detail row definition for the other nodes of the tree.  I don’t think they can do that.  If I test this in MR, I cannot enter different row definitions on the nodes of a reporting tree.  If I change the  row definition on any of the nodes, it changes it for all nodes on the tree.
