Codeunit Permission

Hi All,

I created my functionality in codeunit and it works fine in the Dev. Environment. I'm receiving the following error when I import the Codeunit with Object ID as 50000 into the Client environment.

Error:

'You do not have the following permissions on CodeUnit Create 'CodeunitName' : Execute'

Does that means their license doesn't allow to create Codeunits or anything to do with User Permission?

In the worst case, what is the solution to execute it.

Thanks in advance.

This means that the Development Environment of your client is started with a license that has not permission for creating objects. Change the license with a dev license and import the codeunit.

The functionality works when it is in Dev. license but not in Client license. Please find the below information from the Client license which shows 10 Codeunits. I'm calling the function from Vendor Ledger Entry to create and post a payment journal and it over the same vendor ledger entry. As I said, I tested it and works fine and Dev system (with Dev license) but not in client environment (client license). Is there anything to do with calling a function from Ledger Entry as a restriction in base system?

Client license must have permissions to execute the codeunit 50000.  Do you have the TXT with license details? Is the object assigned?

I don't have their License TXT details. Will there be any other  reasons, if not, is there any other alternative solutions.

You need to check the customer license and verify that the codeunit is assigned in license.

However, for importing the object in the database you only need to open development Environment, change the license with your DEV license, import the object and close.

This is absolutely possible, you don't need the customer license for this action.

    Hi Saravanan,

Your Client Environment should run with NAV License which assigned execute permission for codeunit 50000.

Access your partner source and check if it was assigned. Otherwise, you can reassign and download both txt and flf files. Then, start your Client Environment with new license.
