Fixed asset Depreciation: Manual depreciation issue

Hello,

I am facing an issue when calculating depreciation for fixed assets using a Manual depreciation profile.

I have noticed that depreciation method: Manual only works with Depreciation convention: None. It doesn’t work with other depreciation conventions such as, Half yearly, Full month, Mid quarter, Mid Month (1st of the month), Mid Month (15th of the month), Half year (Start of year), Half year (next year). When I tried to acquire the asset with depreciation convention other than the “None” I received the following error message.

In the example above I have used depreciation convention “Half Year” please see the screen shot below.

The setups for Manual depreciation profile are as follows:

Can anyone provide a solution to this issue,

Thanks.

What is the purpose of using the Half year convention?  You could easily simulate that by editing the first interval to be 1/2 the current value, entering a 5th Interval in your manual schedule and making it 1/2 the first interval (16.66 & 16.67, respectively).
