Minimum stock to create requisition

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help me.

We use AX2012 for our inventory management and procurement. I would like some information on how to use miminum stock levels to trigger reordering.

I have found the item coverage tab and set the minimum stock requirement but when the stock drops below minimum what is meant to happen? Is it meant to raise a requisition or maybe send an alert to someone? I would like this to be as simple and automated as possible. We don't need to worry about about internal orders or transfer of stock between sites. All i would like is to be able to set a minimum stock level that triggers a reorder when stock falls below that level.

Can anyone suggest the best way to do the process of how this happens in AX2012?

Hi,

You need to use Master planning for re-ordering.
