Nav Server stop working for a while

Hi everyone,

We use 3 tier Architecture at Navision 2009 R2. Nav service's performance is fine. But frequently Client(RTC) locks for 15-25 second same time. I think Server stop working in that time. Because, all clients are affected this problem same time. We have 35 users. Especially, this problem occurs busy times.

Thanks.

you can try to run SQL profiler tracing and find the cause.

    or

you can also try to see if any blocking

    Ethem,

I believe those are SQL system tables which contain metadata information about other tables, i don't think that is causing an issue in your scenario.

Does the client locks on a certain operation ?

I found somthing. When Navision RTC opening, db locks sysallocunits, syscolpars, sysidxstats, sysrowsets, sysrscols, sysschobjs objects. In that time navision service stop response.

Why this object is locked when opening?

Do you have schedule maintenance at that time or any job queues are running at the time ?

check if there are heavy calc. processes at the busy times.

run sql profiler for a while and analyse the long time statements.
