How to enable the ability to create new records on forms?

Hello,

Is it possible to enable the ability to add a new record in a form that is standard and has this ability disabled by default?
I checked it and datasource has the /Allow Create/ property is set to /No/. The form also has a hidden /New/ button.
Is it possible to enable this through code?

Hi Shooowtek,

Have you tried calling the DataSourceName_ds.allowCreate(true) in any of the form initial methods?

Note that there is likely a reason why it's disabled. Maybe manual creation of such records would be a bad idea, maybe there is another form for that purpose or maybe some additional logic would be needed.

Which form and data source do you have in mind?

Hello,
The temporary solution I used was to duplicate and replace the form, to which I added the appropriate logic, accessible only to administrators.
