Unable to add Serial Number to Positive Adjustment in Item Journal

I get an error saying:
"Item No. must be equal to 'XYZ' in Item Ledger Entry: Entry No.=1. Current value is 'ABC'.

What does Item Ledger Entry No. 1 have to do with this entry?

    How are you creating serial No.? manually or using action?

    We are creating the serial numbers manually (using the SN from the previous system).

    Sorry, simple mistake on my part. I just figured out what I was doing wrong - I was putting 1 for "Appl.-to Item Entry" when pasting the rows with SN from Excel by mistake. That field should be 0 (or the proper Ledger Entry if I wanted to actually use it).
