Hi,

User wants to create sales order for 3 decimal point. Is it possible. I tried increasing the decimal value from General ledger/Area page/Setup/Currency/currencies/Rounding Rules . But its nt allowing me to make any changes there .

I also did below changes ..

a. Click Data Dictionary, and then click Extended Data Types.
b. Locate the AmountCur and Qty fields, and then change the NoOfDecimals property to 4.
c. Save the changes that you made in the AOT.

Not sure is making changes in AOT is safe or not.

    Hi Anubha Gaur ,

Through rounding rule you cannot increase decimal point. This form is used to select currency rounding value. If you have updated EDT for 3 decimal, then it will be applicable everywhere in system and not only in sales order. Then you can set rounding rule for 3 decimal here.

May be you need to do compilation after changes done in EDT. Can you please check this.

    Best regards,
    Sourav Dam

    Hello Anubha Gaur,

Please check related threads on this community forum for extending the number of decimal places in AX2012.

There are a lot of threads and discussions available that highlight what you have to look out for.

    Best regards,
