Performance Issue in Page Opening

Posted on by 1,112

Dear All,

Opening a Card Page (132) from a List Page(143) in NAV 2013 R2 IN Database is taking long time, but when doing the same thing from Developer Environment ( Open List Page and then Open the Card Page) is taking minimal time using same login.

I can't understand the reason.

Please help me.

Thansk!

After removing the code from card page, what is the exact time (in seconds) for opening the card page in both the options

    i.e. 1) from development environment

    2) from RTC Client?

What are the No. of records in "Sales Invoice Header" Table? Have you rebuild all the indexes for Sales Invoice Header Table and checked the performance?

I have experienced the same after removing the code. That's why I'm not considering the code under the OnOpenPage trigger.

    That is true.

Would still like to understand that, Is there any customization on Card Page (ID - 132) Open Trigger or not?

Can you share the related code here?

What I'm doing in both of the environment to open the Card Page(ID 132) is stated below.

    1. Open List Page (ID 143)

    2. Select a record to open the Card Page(ID 132)

The Developer environment takes lesser time than Windows Client (RTC).

The OnOpenPage trigger fires always in both the environment.

I support RockWith NAV here, individual opening would not be affected by filters that can be applied while opening the same card page from the list page.

    Hey Subrata,

Opening Card page from a list page will obviously take more time as compared to individual opening of these two pages as from list to card there's a filter which is working.

How much time is it taking -  Open Sales List then card and check the time - Is time taken is equivalent or more then this.

check the OnOpenPage Trigger - This trigger always invokes when you open a page so write wisely on this trigger otherwise it have an impact on the performance.

Check if you have any code written on Page 132 >  OnOpenPage()?

There might be some filters applied on the page, which might be taking time.
