Redirected Printers in NAV 2013

HI, I am a systems admin for a company that runs Dynamics NAV 2013 and just finished setting it up on a terminal server for over seas users. I have been told by the local NAV (non Microsoft) developers that we cannot use redirected printers in anyway.

Is this the case? Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

In fact, you can use redirected printers. It depends on the system, because the printer is setup in the OS config. NAV will use the printer as local without problems.

You can use redirect printers in NAV, only thing you have to do is configure it in the OS level. Once you hit the print command; NAV will call the OS printing services and handover the control to OS for further processing.

As Miguel and your NAV developers said NAV will take the default local printer.

Sorry, I should have dug a bit deeper. apparently they use a service called Xdoc's. This is was cannot use redirected printers. has anyone heard of this?

:-S For me... Xdocs sounds to something related to Infopath...but, I'd read something about Xdocs RTC controls for NAV. No idea about how it works. What does your partner say?
