Assigning security roles on forms

Posted on by 80

I need advise on assigning forms and business processes to security roles in particular business units.

I have a parent BU and several Child BUs with different security roles thought the names are the same as the security roles in the parent BU..

I go to enable the security roles but can only see the parent BU which means they can see all other forms even when there is a restriction.

I have tried assigning them from the Default solution but can only see the parent BU.

I have read similar threads but still no joy.

Hope I make sense

    Hi Vipin,

Thank you. I tried this already as suggested on other threads. I recently created new child BUs and assigned the different security roles to the respective BUs. I noticed today that users had access to forms they shouldn't have access to.

If you have administrative right you should see Form Customization in Classic mode or open it from the default solution. (The form which you need to enable it for security)

Refer below top open CRM in Classic Mode

Thanks for your quick reply. Where you can see the child BUs on your list I cannot see the child BUs for my organisation just the parent BUs. Even with Fall back option unticked it still shows the form.

    Hi,

When assigning a security role to a form customization we have 2 columns which is Role Name and Business Unit.

Though the name of role of Parent BU and Child BU may be same but still we can identify them with second column Business Unit.

You remove the Fallback option also and check.

Please post some image to help us better understand ur scenario.
