    Hi Devendra,

If you are taking a full SQL backup, then your full Nav system is backed up - with a few minor exceptions of Nav components not inside SQL e.g. NAS,ADCS.  The Nav backup is designed to backup Nav own database engine and not for SQL.  It's always good pratice to periodically restore your backup - into a test envoirnment - to ensure your backups are valid.  This will also allow you to learn the process and react quicker to a potential failure. Discuss this with you partner.

If you are on SQL Server, you don't have to take any NAV native backups. The SQL Server backups are all you need. These can be easily scheduled through the job manager. You will need to think about your backup strategy, taking full backups, (optional) differential backups and transaction log backups (depending on your recovery model). Your partner should be able to explain all the details of your needs, and discuss the options with you.
