Hi everyone,

I’d like to understand if MRP and MPS are fully integrated with the project module. Specifically, if you add a production-type item (with BOM and routing, not assembly) to the project planning lines, will this item be recognized by MPS and MRP in the new version?

Your insights would be greatly appreciated!

    Hello,

Yes, in the latest version of Business Central, MRP (Material Requirements Planning) and MPS (Master Production Scheduling) are fully integrated with the project module. When you add a production-type item (with BOM and routing) to the project planning lines, this item will be recognized by both MPS and MRP

This integration ensures that the planning system can calculate the necessary production schedules and material requirements based on the demand from the project planning lines. This helps in maintaining accurate and efficient planning for production and material needs.

The answer is yes.  You need to ensure the Project has Apply Usage Link enabled, the Project is in Open status, and the Planning Date is within your time horizon of the Calc. Plan.  The suggestion should create a Planned Production Order suggestion and calculate any needs for the related BOM.
