Get AX user id from email in x++

Hi All,

I have user email. How can I get user id from user email?

Actually I am creating Sales Order using AIF web service and want to update the created by field dynamically.

Any help would be really appreciated.

The easiest way is making sure that users have emails filled in SysUserInfo table. Then you select the ID for the given email address.

This answers how to "Get AX user id from email in x++", nevertheless this question and answer don't seem to be related your actual business requirement. You need to run the service as the right user. How to do it depends on how you call it, which you didn't tell us. (And I must admit that I don't remember AX 2009 very well; it's been quite a few years since I worked with it.)

Hi Martin,

I've checked and emails are filled for users in SysUserInfo table and I am able to get User Id based on Email.
