Exported Excel coming blank (Control+T)

Hi,

I am using AX 2012 R3 CU11.

I have a situation, user A wants to export all the Vendors from the List page into Excel. What he does, he simply presses (control +T ) OR the Export to Excel button from Action Page.

Result: the excel gets opened up + the excel is saved even on the location defined. But the excel that opens up by default is coming blank. On the same user's system if I am opening AX client using my credentials, the exported excel show all the data properly.

Query: Why the exported excel that opens up the moment we are exporting the from AX (Control+T), is coming blank for that specific user A only. Rest all users dont have any issues.

Sincerely,

Muneeb

Possible security access issue. Do the users who have it up correctly have the exact same security roles set in AX?

Is there a terminal server involved?

Also check in the user options screen if the excel export functionality is using the client or server for redirecting the results.

    Hi Vilmos,

Thank you for your quick response.

    1. Yes, I gave the same rights to myself as that of that user and tried to export it, I am able to do it without any issues and Excel displays all the data.

    2. Yes, the terminal server is involved.

    3. The excel export functionality is using Client (Find the snapshot below)

    Hi Sukrut,

I have already tried by deleting the *.AUC & *.KTI files, but still facing the same issue.

The issue doesn't seem to be related to the version as on the user's system if I am using my credentials to access AX, I am able to export the data to excel without any issues.

    Sincerely,

    Muneeb

By your point 1), did you revoke System administrator rights and left only the users' roles on yourself? Otherwise it is pointless.

    Hi Vilmos,

Of Course yes my friend. Exactly same rights (Excluding Admin) as that of the user.

    Sincerely,

    Muneeb

    Hi Vilmos & Sukrut,

I compared the settings of the Excel, there was 1 check box in the excel settings that was causing this issue. After I unchecked it, the issue got resolved.

The user is now able to export the data from AX without any issues.

(Refer below snapshot for the setting modified)

Thanks a lot to Vilmos & Sukrut for your kind support and time.

    Sincerely,

    Muneeb
