Quantity on Management Reporter

Dear Experts,

I am working on Management Reporter (MR) for D365 FinOps, while my client is asking to bring Quantity also on MR. Quantity should appear for Budget and Sales (requirement). I have seen there is a 'Attribute' to select 'Quantity', unfortunately after a significant effort there is no luck.....

Please suggest me if there is any specific setup is required to bring the Quantity as value on MR.

Thanking you.

Best regards,

Arnab Das

    Dear Arnab,

MR only report on budget transactions and general ledger transactions.

In these transactions it is possible to give in quantity as a field, source is either budget entry or journals (hidden field I believe by default). This is the value you can report on in Management Reporter.

It is not possible to report on quantity coming from a sales order for example in MR. MR is not the intended tool for this.

    Best regards

    Dear Ties,

Thank you so much for your immediate response.

Requesting your more input on the following statement:

"In these transactions it is possible to give in quantity as a field, source is either budget entry or journals (hidden field I believe by default). This is the value you can report on in Management Reporter."

If you can mention any link or a little detail, for sure will be a great help. Thanks.

    Best regards,

    Hi Arnab,

THe quantity field I mentioned is shown below:

     Quantity-MR.png

This is from a daily journal, I think it is present on most journals, however I have not checked them all for you .

For budget register entries it is the field below:

    Hope this helps,

    Best regards,

    Hello Arnab Das,

If you need sales based quantities for analysis purposes, MR is not the right tool.

Better make use of the standard PowerBI functionalities that can process / analyze those data.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig
