Hi,
We hosted Dynamics SL 2015 on Windows Server 2016. it was working fine until we enable only TLS 1.2 on the server( disabled TLS 1.0, TLS1.1 and TLS 3.0). When I tried to login getting an exception - "Unable to Open the specified server database <Server Name> <SYSDB> (817)." any idea what am i missing here?
If i re-enable TLS 1.0,TLS 1.1 again its working fine.
It is a configuration issue with SQL Server. You didn't mention the SQL version you are running, but take a look at this link for TLS 1.2 Configurations and updates for SQL.

Thank you Mark for your response. SQL Server version is 2014 SP3. I Verified SQL ODBC connections its working fine but the issue is with SL only.
Hello MaruthiG
Well I found that you will have to upgrade to at least SL2018CU1. This is the first SL version that is compatible with TLS1.2.
What is going on is TLS 1.0 and 1.1 are old security protocols for SQL connections that are now considered as unsafe-- so Microsoft has depreciated them in favor of TLS 1.2. People are being told to disable the old protocols. The thing is that the Crystal runtime in pre-SL2018Cu1 still needs TLS1.0 to function. I have run into cases similar to this scenario where disabling the old protocols will make it so that you can no longer even access SL.
