Which AX table stores the Budget details per dimension?

Hi All,

I need some help identifying the corresponding table from my database, where these data are stored.

I have the Main Account Budgets that are  entered at Dimension Level.

One example of Budget per Dimension  in Budget Register is as per below.

I would like to know which AX table do we query  so as to retrieve the budget details per dimension?

Many thanks in anticipation,

Nadeem

    Hi Nadeem,

You can use the Budget control statistics form (Budgeting -> Inquiries -> Budget Control Statistics) to see the Budget balances based on dimension values. In order to find out the values through X++ code, take a look at BudgetConrolStatisticsManager class.

Please verify and let me know if you have further queries.

    Thanks,

    Baber.

    Hi Baber,

    Thanks for your prompt reply.

I verified the form but all I could get is the temporary table BudgetTmpControlStatistics, where the values are not stored.

I've gone through the codes also and found out that it is reading the BudgetControlBudgetCycle table but when I check the table in my database, it is empty.

    Can you advise please?

I need a query to fetch the budget details per dimension.

    Thanks

To look up these values is quite complex and does require code to do the look up. There is no simple look ups as the budget will be recorded differently as to what Budget control is enforced against. E.G. Budget is captured against all dimensions but only enforced on two.

This is why the form makes use of temporary tables. You will (as Baber suggested) need to drill into the code to figure out how to do what you want.

    Hi Nadeem,

Check the Budget Details and Budget control account details history reports.  These reports showing the data based on dimension set, so you would definitely get some idea how to retrieved budget balances based on dimensions. The related classes are as follows:

    BudgetAccountDetailHistoryDP

    BugdetDetailsDP

Check the processReport methods of the above two classes.

Please verify and let me know if you have further queries.

    Thanks,

    Baber.
