Future dated Recurring Journal

I want to post a Recurring journal with a month end date prior to the month end. The entry is a reversing entry. When I try to post it prior to the last day of the month, I get "there is nothing to post" error. Any suggestions?

Help for Posting Date Field says: "If the journal template is a recurring journal and a recurring frequency has been defined, then the date will be updated by the interval specified (for example, one month forward from the preceding date in the field) every time you open the journal again for posting. If the date in this field is later than the work date, the line cannot be posted."

Okay - so if I post during the month instead of at month-end (i.e. I wanted to date it for 10/31, but it's only 10/24, and given it won't post-date, I have to post it now), how to do I get it to reverse on 11/1 instead of 10/25???

My monthly routine is: Set the workdate to the 20th of the next month (that's the latest monthly recurring posting I have), and post the recurring journal. Clear the workdate. Done.

I suggest that you should change your NAV workdate and then post the recurring journal.
