Unable to download Dynamics GP 2018

Hi,

When I try to download Dynamics GP 2018 from the new docs.microsoft.com site, I get the following error:

AADSTS650051: Using application 'Microsoft Business Solutions' is currently not supported for your organization domain.com because it is in an unmanaged state. An administrator needs to claim ownership of the company by DNS validation of domain.com before the application Microsoft Business Solutions can be provisioned. Trace ID: b62bfeb5-e1ea-4074-bed5-7804bb3a8b00 Correlation ID: 71049ec1-2a1e-48cb-aa3c-07b245d18fe4 Timestamp: 2021-07-14 18:28:52Z

How can I fix this?

Chris,

Rule of thumb here for me is that everything related to the former CS / PS site has to be opened in a 'Private' browsing window, no matter which browser, as there are too many credentials that are remembered by the regular browser session and often conflicts with the authentication to download files from the former CS site.

And yes, unless you've some corporate O365 account that you can link to your former CS account, you'll have to skip that part every time when connecting to the site by using a regular hotmail.com, outlook.com or live.com email account (though today it can be anything).

Going to answer this one myself.

Need to click on the "Skip" button when this login prompt comes up after clicking on the download link. Don't just blindly re-login with the microsoft account credentials...this login is different. Must read the note at the bottom of the dialog!

I seldom login to the dynamics support site...only about once a year or so, when ever I need to get the year end update or upgrade dynamics gp. Trying to log in with my personal microsoft account, won't work here since it's not a dynamics account.

I spent way too much time trying to figure out why this wasn't working.

Also ran into an issue where I couldn't post questions to this forum. Always got a "Sorry we could not find the requested page." error after clicking on post. Must be something with either Chrome or the ublock origin extension perhaps. Using Edge to post these for the time being.

Hope this helps someone in the future or at least myself next year
