I also have the problem that a Sandbox instance has been disabled for no apparent reason. Ticket at Microsoft was opened three days ago, but the problem has still not been solved.
How long did it take until the instance was active again?

This need the Backend Team Supporter to help you activate your Instance. You could remind the MS ticket owner to help escalate the case to BE Team.

Thanks. We have opened a ticket with Microsoft.
Microsoft Support just resolved it for us. Someone had to go in and "activate" the instance. They haven't given an explanation as to why it was "inactivated" unfortunately looks like only Microsoft support can resolve this issue, I'll let you know if I hear differently.
I am currently having the same issue with our site. Our sandbox is fine but the live site is inactive. All of our licenses are up to date as well.

I have already opened ticket with Microsoft but the didn't got update yet. :(
Maybe a license issue or expired? I would open a Microsoft support ticket for this.
