    Hello Rana Anees,

The only chance that you have to realize this report in MR is by using separate ledger accounts for all transaction types available in the fixed asset module, which might require setting up a lot of accounts. Even then a small code modification might be required.

Some hints how this can be realized can be found here: dynamicsax-fico.com/.../datev

    Hope this helps,

    Ludwig

    Thaks Ludwig Reinhard ,

Based on posting profile..I have created Column and Row Definition..

Following is the result of the report...

1- Opening and closing balances showing same values

2- How to get values in Addition and Disposal columns

    HI,

In your fixed asset posting profiles there must be a section for specifying the fixed asset

In AX2012, there must be a specific 'disposal / sale' button on the very top of the fixed asset posting profile screen.

What accounts have you setup there?

Can you show a typical (representative) acquisition and disposal voucher?

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thaks Ludwig Reinhard,

    Hi Rana Anees,

The issue with your setup is that the acquisition account - for example for the asset group Comp_Soft - is the same that is use in the sales section of your fixed asset profile for the acq. value.

If you want to get get a fixed asset statement in Management Reporter all transaction types would need to have separate ledger accounts.

    Otherwise, I won't work.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thaks Ludwig Reinhard,

Actually we don't sale anything instead services. What if I don't include Comp_Soft asset group in asset statement, will it work or can I change main account.

    Please guide about the solution...

    Hello Rana Anees,

To create a fixed asset statement in MR you have to ensure that each and every fixed asset posting type is setup with its own ledger account because the fixed asset module does not ship with many different posting types that can be filtered on in MR.

    Example:

On the following site you will find a demo setup that I used for that purpose

    https://dynamicsax-fico.com/tag/datev/

If you take a look at the 'acquisition' Radio button you will notice that acquisitions are posted against account 180510.

Acquisition adjustments are on the other hand posted against 180520.

The other posting types basically follow this principle.

That is, for each of them you need to have a separate ledger account.

When it comes to sales and scrap postings you also need to ensure that you use separate sub-ledger accounts.

In my example, I used sub-accounts that end with -1 or -2 for sales and scrap transactions.

If you are not doing that, you cannot differentiate between acquisition and sale transactions!

Provided that you have setup all your accounts that way you need to make sure that all your fixed assets have a fixed asset financial dimension assigned. This is needed to create the lines of the MR fixed asset statement report.

That's basically all needed in AX.

The rest is more or less a MR design and layout exercise based on the ledger accounts and financial dimensions recorded.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Thanks Ludwig Reinhard,

Your replies are full of information. You are right we have same accounts for different transaction types.

Just to further understand the posting process I have questions.

    a. Fixed assets->Reports->Transactions->Periodic->Fixed asset balances Report. This report shows Acquisition, Depreciation and Net book value correctly. How this report calculates Acquisition, Depreciation and Net book value and why not in MR.

    b. We have assigned dimensions to every fixed asset, maybe due to dimensions we have same accounts for different transactions.

    Best Regards,

    Anees

    Hello Anees,

for a.) I would say that this report has already been available long time even before MR was generally available. Also note that the purpose of the MR is primarily not creating fixed asset statement reports - that is not what it is originally designed for. If you need more information why MR cannot easily create a fixed asset statement report except by using the workaround with the many ledger accounts and financial dimensions, I would suggest that you talk to one of the MS support guys. Probably they will bring this functionality in at a later stage?!

for b.) What is important for the creation of the MR fixed asset statement report is that you can differentiate the different postings types (acquisition, depreciation, sale, scrap, etc.). I do not think that this can be realized by financial dimensions unless you use them in a 'special' and possibly modified way.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hii Ludwig Reinhard,

There are two reports in Fixed assets Module

    a. Fixed assets -> Reports -> External -> Fixed asset statement Report

    b. Fixed assets -> Reports -> External -> Fixed asset note

I think Fixed asset note report somehow near my target design and requirement.

I have decided to make a new report like Fixed asset note report and make changes as required instead of making it in MR.

    1. Please guide me dose Fixed asset note report is same like my following requirement.

    fixedasset.png

    2. What I am thinking to develop a new report by following the classes and tables of Fixed asset note report and change the design as the above image. Is this correct approach.

Please guide anything else to accomplish this.

    Regards,

    Anees
