There is a requirement where i have to create a demo website and connect it to CRM

How do i achieve that?

You can take a look at D365 Portals or Power Apps Portals

This is connected to D365 / CDS out of the box

Could you please provide step by step details!

Also i have been instructed to create a demo website using HTML, CSS and JavaScript and then connect it to CRM

Is that possible to connect without using power app portal

When you say "Website" - What does it actually mean?

Are you looking for a single page static website? OR

Is it a portal where customers log-in and interact?

Where is this website hosted? Are you planning for self hosting or third party of Are you looking for Dynamics hosted?

When you say "Connect it to CRM" - what does it actually mean?

Is it for content management? OR capture responses from website? what kind of responses ?

It is a good idea to browse through the features of D365 portals or power apps portals and do fit-gap with your requirements.

Thanks again for the response ba365guy

They have not given me any details about their website

They have asked me to create a trial website which captures basic leads details such as name , email etc.., and when the details are submitted it should create a lead in CRM

I'm using free trial dynamics CRM

I don't have any website already created, i should create it

Also the website will be locally hosted for now

Customers do not login, they just inquire by submitting their basic details

It is basically to create leads in CRM(Web to lead)

From your response i understand you are locally hosting your web application.

You want to push lead details from your web application to D365 lead entity.

You can push the data via D365 API.

You need to register an app in Azure Active Directory and get app id and app secret and then consume D365 API via application user. Please see the following links:

If you choose to go with D365 Portals or Power Apps Portals, it will be like No Code (or minimal code) approach. But the portal is hosted by Microsoft.

It will not be local hosted
