It doesn't appear there is an upgrade path in NCE for BCE to BCP. Which means that if a client is a few months into a subscription and determine they need BCP, they still would have to pay for the rest of the year for BCE. This issue has already come up twice with the partners I work with, so I'm hoping someone at Microsoft will address this issue. If anyone has any guidance on this issue it would be very much appreciated.

Your CSP partner should be able to raise this issue with Microsoft and see if they can find a solution for it.

My guess is that there is a solution as long as you go from Essential to Premium because that is an upgrade.

A downgrade from BCP to BCE could be more troublesome i guess.

And i am of course not speaking on behalf of Microsoft but normally a partner is able to work on a solution for cases like this together with MS,
