Parameter could not be serialized error when uncheck the option 'Execute business operation in CIL'

Hi,

When invoking the service operation through Sysoperation framework, I am getting the error that a parameter could not be serialized. I get this error when Execute business operation in CIL is checked under Tools-> Options -> Development tab. When I uncheck this option, I didn't get this error. Does anyone know what is the cause of this error?

What parameters are you using? Your code fails when passing arguments to CLR. Unchecking the checkbox forces the code to run in X++ interpreted mode and it works.

What parameters do you have in your data contract? And have you been able to do a successful FULL CIL generation?

I have the parameters Site, Warehouse and location in my data contract and some checkboxes as well. I tried to generate incremental CIL, but it gives me 4 errors and 1 warnings, so do you think successful CIL generation is needed to resolve this issue?

CIL generation needs to successfully complete without errors. I've explained this on my blog before, CIL generation is like a compile of any other application... any error will STOP the whole code generation. For AX this means a CIL error will have effect on EVERYTHING in AX. Postings may stop working or work incorrectly, AIF may stop working or work incorrectly, any new code will definitely never get generated.

CIL is not a scripting language like X++ where an error in one area doesn't affect the other. If you have an error in a class you are working on, you may have just brought the whole environment down.
