Any idea why there is difference of Stock between ITEM STOCK INQUIRY and HISTORICAL STOCK STATUS report on AS OF DATE? E.g. Item Stock Inquiry is showing different Stock on a particular date and HISTORICAL STOCK STATUS report is showing different Stock on that as of date. How to resolve such issue?
Well, that actually didn't help us. We cannot select start of date. I am accessing HITB from Report -> Inventory -> Activity -> Histotical IV Trial Balance - right? but not giving the required/proper balance. Is there any SQL Statement / Custom Report that can simple tell me the Stock/Balance on a specific Date?
There is a date range that you can use in the HITB.

The reason for check HSS report is due to AS OF DATE balance/stock which I am unable to see on HITB report. Is there any other way to check Inventory Balance/Stock on AS OF DATE? Furthermore, I have run checklinks and then reconcile and things are pretty fine now. But still wondering if I can get that AS OF DATE Balance/Stock?
Hello, first off, Microsoft does not recommend using the HSS report anymore as it excludes a number of pertinent information. You should use the Historical Inventory Trial balance and see if there is still a difference. If there is then you should run check links and reconcile.
