Creating Business Units, Automatic Record creation rules and test security directly in Production

Hi!

I have a Case where i"m going to implement new Business units, SLA:s and Automatic record creation rules and test security roles, and also SLA:s and incoming emails.

Could I do this directly in the Production instance, since I can't test incoming emails in queues in test and most of the things?

How would u do it?

Hi, what you just mentioned is pretty involved and not trivial. Doing it directly in production may cause issues that are hard to fix, specially when you do further deployment. I had a bad experience with SLAs specially.

What prevents you from enabling a mailbox in the Dev environment? If that same mailbox is setup in production and no one uses it then it should be straight forward to use it in Dev.
