Budget Planning missing distributions

Hi,

I am working in AX 2012 R3 CU8 env. I am facing a huge obstacle in budget planning process. I have setup my hierarchy Level 1,2,3. I am expecting the scenarios figures to be distributed from Level 1 to 2 and Level 2 to 3. It is all happening fine only for two specific financial dimensions which are setup as departments but not for the others (also setup as departments). I have executed several trials to get to the bottom of the issue but still no luck. Not sure what kind of special setup exist for financial dimensions to allow the distribution. I have verified account structures (allowed for all values), workflows, configuration and security, everything looks good but something is wrong...just wondering whether anyone has come across such issue in the past. Very much thankful for your kind advice.

Do you mean to say "Allocation"...? If your answer is yes, then you have to define Allocation schedule in Budget -> Setup -> Budget Planning -> Budget Planning configuration

I have already setup the allocation schedules and stage allocation. Attached the screenshots of my budget hierarchy and budgets. You can find budget scenario (initial proposal) lines are distributed from parent to the child (HR to IT department) whereas it is failing for Maintenance to Sales and Marketing. Both the departments HR and Maintenance using same workflow hence same set of configuration.

Have you run periodic activity Budgeting -> Periodic -> Generate Budget plan from General ledger for Sales and marketing and Maintenance...?

    Hi,

Budget plan was created at Finance (Level-1) and distributed to HR and Maintenance (Level-2). Budget plan can be created through periodic run or manual entry. So it doesn't matter when it is already distributed to level-2. Hope you understand the issue..

Hi Satya,  From your screen shot, I am not finding any evidence that Finance created budget plan for Maintenance, Sales and Marketing.  Can you please provide the screen shot for Level-1 which contains data for Maintenance, Sales and marketing department...?

    Hi,

I have put the screenshot to give understanding of where I am facing the issue. Obviously I cannot share the entire config and other levels just for the sake of evidence. However, I could make it working after configuring in a new env and it all works perfect. Thanks for your responses.
