We are facing this issue from some time where we have noticed that emails are not syncing in the queues for some time and after some time the emails are synced properly. So here emails are not receiving in CRM but sending emails from CRM is working fine.
Earlier we found a log in event viewer and one warning saying "The name outlook.office365.com timed out after none of the configured DNS servers responded"
After few days we have again encountered the same issue. Can anyone please assist here what was the possible reason for this issue.
- check event viewer for any recurring DNS-related warnings or errors
- check dns configuration to ensure servers configured on crm are correct & reachable
- verify that no network connectivity issues exist between crm server and dns server
- check for firewalls or network policies that may be blocking dns traffic
- clear the dns cache on your crm server to ensure any stale dns entries are removed (ipconfig /flushdns) in cmd
- check the dns server for cpu spikes or performance issues
