I have a question regarding changing the balance sheet account structure to remove the additional segments, on Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
My current balance sheet account structure is below:
MainAccount-ABusinessUnit-BCostCenter-CCostControl-DWorker-ERegion
The correct one should be:
MainAccount-DWorker
The balance sheet accounts include input Tax accounts, which is an issue as we have a huge pile of pending vendor invoices with input tax accounts what are not yet approved and will take a while to be approved.
If i am going to remove the segments i get an error on the financial dimensions of the pending invoices, which was already tested.
I have also opted to removing the Tax accounts from the Balance sheet and transferring them to the P/L (which has the same structure MainAccount-ABusinessUnit-BCostCenter-CCostControl-DWorker-ERegion) as its indifferent for me if the VAT accounts have old segments. however that was not successful either.
I need the other balance sheet accounts excluding the TAX accounts not to have the full segment rather only main account and worker.
What is the best way to do so without impacting any pending vendor invoices or expense claims.
Would really appreciate suggestions as everything has been unsuccessful,
