Chart - Utilising related entity field

Got a daft question that I should know the answer to!

When I am creating a chart on e.g. the opportunity product entity it shows I can have order field 'est go live' in the horizontal axis. But my question is, what makes it show up in this list? I want to show another field on the related opportunity entity but the field is not showing up on this list. Any idea on how to fix this? Inserted screenshot below that hopefully shows what I mean.

Is the field 'est go live' your custom field?

Hi Steve, thanks for your response. Yes that field is a custom field.

But I have created a new field on the opportunity entity that I want to use in an opportunity product entity chart but it wont show up like est go live does.

I'm clearly missing something so it shows up on the list of options.

Hi stu1875,

You could add this custom field to the Opportunity Product(Lines)'s view. And then you could select it in the dropdown.

Test:

1. Create a custom field on the Opportunity entity.

2. Add it to Opportunity Product's view.

3. Then new a chart and you can select it.

Yip that worked, so all I had to do was add it to a view column and then it shows in the chart. I knew I was missing something daft..
