Does sharing Opportunities count in the pipeline of the user?

Hello,

Let's assume Owner A is assigned to Opportunity A and I want to share rather than assign the same opportunity with a user in a different business unit to work on it but the ownership should remain always Owner A.

Does the opportunity count under the pipeline of that User who we shared the OPP within a different BU or since Owner A is ownership of the record it will just count under that owner so the other user who is working with him it does not count in the pipeline?
Can we have a dashboard that shows which opportunities are shared with which users and the total No. of opportunities shared? How can this be done?
Finally, I just want to make sure that the share doesn't change ownership of the record. Instead, it just gives access to another user to collaborate and work on the same opportunity.

Any help is greatly appreciated.
