Account Level Email Address - Can we target for marketing?

Hi Everyone,

I've read up on the following Account base marketing in the Customer Engagement documentation. Very neat and can't wait to get started once we bring in our existing data!

However in a our discussion we were curious about the account level email address field below:

Questions:

  1. Can the email field be targeted with Dynamics 365 for Marketing? Campaigns/Quick Campaigns? I'm leaning towards no.
  2. Can the account level email contact preferences be managed with a subscription center or is it strictly manual? Also leaning towards no.

    Hi,

    1. I guess you are asking if you can send a marketing email with the automation UI of Dynamics 365 for Marketing to the recipient's owner (account) email. If that's the case, yes, you can send it to that address and also use the .

    2.  It could be automated, with some customizations. For example some JavaScript to update the related field on the Account, and an explicit segment to model the preferences, and few other customizations. Depending on your needs and volumes perhaps manual would be preferable? let us know if you would need more details on how to customize this scenario.
