Hi,

We have around 100 Projects which we use percentage of Completion as a Revenue Recognition Method,

Can I book the Accrued Revenue for all Projects ONE TIME  NOT ONE BY ONE

Note;

All those Projects are Under One Project Group

Thanks & Regards

Mustafa

    Hi Mustafa,

There is a periodic function available that allows you posting the project estimates for multiple projects at once.

Please search for it in your menu structure in the project module.

Once you found it you can post the accrued revenue for all of the 100 projects without having to open them one by one.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Good Morning Mustafa,

In D365FO you can find the functionalities under project management / Periodic / Estimates.

There you can create, calculate, post ... estimates for multiple projects.

    Best regards,

    Ludwig

    Hi Ludwig,

As per me, For posting the project estimates for multiple projects at once,  The estimated Cost should be defined for each Project in its Profile , Am I Right ?

    Regards

    Hi Ludwig,

Actually my inquiry is about (Percentage complete) thru Revenue Recognition, In setup there are many Calculation Options (Manual Or Cost,..) , My Question is if I selected (Cost).. WHAT IS the Equation?? Actual Cost will be divided by which figure ?

    Thanks & Regards

    Mustafa

    Hello Mustafa,

The actual costs are compared against the forecast costs that you selected when running the estimate (remember that you must select a forecast model). What AX calculates and how it calculates depends on the calculation method selected. The following blog post provides an overview of the available methods.

    Hi Mustafa,

Are you asking for following setup:

    pastedimage1578968548370v2.png

    There are three option:

    1. Manual which will allow you to enter Percentage completion manually.

    2. Automatic which will calculate percentage completion by calculating all actual cost against estimated cost.

    3. Cost Template which will allow you to calculate percentage completion as per cost template selected in Project group.

Following are example of cost template where I mention completion method is automatic.

Let me know if this solve this issue.

For booking multiple revenue without going to each project, as Ludwig Reinhard suggested best way to do it.

Following are the options you can use it for bulk creation / deletion / posting as well as for reversal.
