Hi Experts,

User is getting error message of /Column is not filterable/ and /Object reference not set an instance of an object/ when user try to filter /Sales resposible/ field in Sales order page.

This issue is only for client users after version update from 35 to 38. When I tried to replicate this issue in lower environment which has 38 version, I am not getting this error message.

I have system admin access. We tried to add user's role to my role but I did not get the error message. I tried to do usage data reset for the user, add system admin access to user in lower environment, deleted and imported the user again and added back the roles. Also tried in various web browsers as well. But still user get this error message when she filter with Sales resposible. User have saved view and standard view and the error message is there for both the view.

Can anyone advise what could be the issue, since the issue started after version upgrade.

Thanks
I have the same question (0)

    Hi,

I tried it. It is working, did you try to create new view and check it?

    Thanks,

    Hi,
In my environment, Sales responsible is also normal and can be filtered. You may need to let developers debug the code, and new software updates may cause changes to metadata in FO.

    Best Regards,
    Hana

    Hi,

Even for me it working and not getting any error. However it’s not working for client.

Tried to create new view but no luck.

Raised Microsoft ticket and they are saying it’s global issue however I am asked them if it’s global issue how is it working for me and not only for the client when both are using same environment.

yet to get an update from MS

We have the same issue with a client using version 39.
In dev environment there are no issues with version 37

They are in Retail and commerce->Inquiries and reports->Sales order.

When I try to filter on Sales Taker in a saved view it works, as long as I don't pin the view as default.

Any update from MS on this? Hotfix possibly?

    View not pinned as default:

We are also seeing this behavior since our spring upgrade to version .39 - it was not occurring in previous versions.  Here is what we have found:

    • It can occur in either the SalesTableListPage or the ReturnTableListPage - but we have not encountered a user who has the issue on both pages, just one or the other
    • We have had about 8 users report this issue - and with varying sets of roles/duties
    • One user had Sys Admin role, so it's definitely not role-related
    • We cleared usage data for the affected user for the specific page (either Sales or Returns)
    • We cleared Personalizations of the affected user for the specific page (either Sales or Returns)
    • We cleared cache in Edge
    • For some users this would provide a temporary fix, and then the issue would re-emerge
    • For some users this didn't work at all - still got the "filterable column" error

There is not real rhyme or reason as to who gets the error, when it occurs, if it can be fixed with the above process or if it can NOT be fixed - we have run out of options to address and are hoping Microsoft will provide a fix ASAP as this was definitely introduced in the .39 version upgrade.

BTW - the list page filter (the funnel icon) or advanced filter both work - it's just trying to use the filtering functionality on the Sales Responsible column header that doesn't work.

Thanks in advance for a fix MSFT!

    Hi guys,

I had this issue with one of my users and Iwas able to fix it after some troubleshooting. This error is simply a view problem. This occurs when a user create several view on a SalesOrderList table. Therefore, if there are one or more fields conflicting one another.

    Solution:
    1. Reset user's usage data
    2. Delete the personalization on the All Sales Order page.
    3. Refresh the page and try to set the filter again.

The issue will be gone after the 3 steps. I hope this helps.

    Thank you.
