Hi

I created a planned production order, then I firmed it. When I want to check the BOM, I don't see the components, any ideas why?   Thanks in advance.

Could you see the BOM on the planned production order (Inquires > Derived requirements)? Is there a BOM Id on the planned production order and the production order? Have you made some change to the production order (date or quantity) that takes you outside the range of your active BOM versions?

    Hi Tim

Yes, there is a BOM Id, and there are no dates or quantities out of range.

This particular BOM has only one line, BOM Version is approved and active. When I try to create the order again, this time directly in Production control, after I click the Create button, I get a message telling me I must specify Warehouse for that component . This is strange, since no other BOM has given me this trouble.

    Possible reasons

    •         Date is placed in “To Date” field instead of “From Date”

    •         BOM not activated.

    •         BOM “From date” is after production bom date.

    •         BOM not Approved

Thanks, Mark, these were the first things I looked through, but it's not any of them.

Does it fill in the BOM field on you prod.order?

Have you tried to estimate and plan and see what happens?

Where did you actually look for the BOM components? The BOM list or the Explosion?

If you manually create a planned production order it is not part of the dynamic plan from memory, so you would need to force a net requirements plan run against the dynamic plan to see it. However in the BOM list it should always be there, but as I have said before, they dont really want you manually creating planned orders, so the code does work differently :-)

    Hi Fredrik

Yes,  BOM is field is propulated. Production order is created straight to Programmed status, I did try restoring the status but no result either.

There is no programmed status. Can you remove all customizations and re-test?

You did not tell me where you are looking to see the BOM "not" being there.

    Hi Steven,

I am looking for BOM components when I click the Derived requirements button on the Planned orders form. Anyway, the problem does not only stay on the Planned order When I try to create a Production order, the BOM components are not displayed when I click the BOM button on the Production orders form.

This is happening only with one particular Item. Both Item and its corresponging BOM are correctly configured, and the problem does not appear when I try with adifferent Item.

Sorry, I meant "Scheduled." This is where I click to see the BOM, and I don't see the components. This is on All Production orders form, when I try to manually create a Production order, directly in Production control module.
