Can you combine an interaction-based and profile-based segment using Compound?  I have tried and I receive an error.

    Hi Stephani,

What is the error that you are getting and when are you getting it?  On Save, on Go Live, etc.?

    Thanks,

    Megan

It is on go live, "The segment query isn't valid, or the target profile doesn't match."

I have 1 live segment for all contacts that live in AL.

I have 1 live segment for all contacts that have visited the website in the last 30 days.

I created a compound segment that said take the 1st segment "intersect" with 2nd segment.

    Hello,

It is supported to build a compound segment from any other segments where one can be a profile based (like demographic) and the other one interaction based (behavioral). Please make sure all the segments are life in order to see results.

Can you share the error ?

in the following example (in the new segment design experience which is available in preview now) you see an example:

    First a Demographic segment:

    Then a behavioral segment:

And finally the compound segment using both above:

    Hello again,

thanks for stating the error in the post before.

    I recommend two steps:

    1. Please make sure you have updated the marketing application to the latest release

    2. Try building a new compound segment and see if the error reproduces

If so we are happy to look at the specific instance and see what is going wrong. You can share the Org URL, or file a service request, what ever is your preferred path.
