The quantity being returned is greater than what can be covered by the return lot - Sales and marketing/All return orders

Hello Ax Experts

I need a help about this issue: 'The quantity being returned is greater than what can be covered by the return lot'
Print1.PNG

Sales order (outbound) OV000005086
Sales order (return) OV000005088

When I verify the item 'transactions' in 'Manage Inventory' I see just the outbound (sold) transaction, not the inbound (received) item for OV000005088 order.

If the quantity being returned not returned yet why this issue?

More information: the item is not controled by Batch number or Serial Number

Thanks in advanced

Hi Pablo, What AX2012 System Version do you use? Can you check hotfix KB2952307 on LifeCycle Services whether this applies in your case? Ludwig

Do you have any return orders for the item that are the +ve  sales orders of status registered at the top of the list. Check those orders and the line details setup tab to check the return lot id against the lot id you are trying to add to another return order. The return order does not have to be processed for the warning, you would not want to create two return orders for the same lot.
