How to redirect to a custom entity when an opportunity is closed

I have recently set up a custom entity which is created and populated with a workflow upon the closure of an opportunity. At the moment, when you close the opportunity as won and refresh the page, you just see the read-only opportunity page. Is there a way to instead make it so that you automatically get redirected to the custom entity record that was just created by the workflow? Similarly to how when you qualify a lead it takes you straight to the opportunity rather than sitting on the lead page.

I hope that makes sense, thanks in advance for any help!

    Hi,

Unfortunately I don't think there's an OOB way to achieve that. You can try with a JavaScript function that triggers when the opportunity status reach the won value.

    docs.microsoft.com/.../openform

    Hope it helps,

    Marco

Hello Charlotte, you could achieve this by creating a Javascript to read the statusCode and then opening the required entity using docs.microsoft.com/.../openform

    StatusCode Options list:

    docs.microsoft.com/.../opportunity

    Hello Charlotte,

This blog will show redirect to a custom entity when any Opportunity is marked as Won. For this, we will create a workflow, and we will have it called at a time when the Opportunity record status changes. Follow the below steps to create a workflow:

Step 1: Go to Settings > Processes

Step 2: Now click the NEW button to create a new process.

➢ Now fill in the below details for the workflow:

    • Process name:Give the proper name.
    • Category:Choose workflow
    • Entity:Select Opportunity.

➢ After filling in the details, click on the OK button.
