In BOM journal line, for the  Field "cost price",  Technet said it can be changed  manually

Does anyone know what am I missing? thanks

To change cost price of BOM journal line
    Hi everyone,
in Dynamics Ax 2012 for retail: i need to change the cost of the component after posting the product kit (BOM journals).
example: I posted the cost of components 100 $ and the correct one is 10 $.

what can i do to resolve this problem?

    Thank You ALL :)

No you cannot enter it would be my interpretation (both by what is written and what you are saying - I have not even opened the journal and processed it to check), and as it would break all of your costing logic why would you want to enter it? Even if you did AX would change it in the posting (it is what it used to do in AX2009) to what it needs to be.

    HI ,Steven:

It is very appreciated for your explanation.

    But Doesn't it also states

"Enter the cost if it is not specified for the item number in the Released product details form or if you want to change the cost manually."

We can manually enter it here? or it's my  ,thanks

    Hi

The first line in the explanation on TechNet states "The cost per unit for inventory receipts."

When you are consuming a component you are not receiving it you are issuing it. The reason you cannot change it here is because it is irrelevant to change it. AX knows it from the costing method and the item and will consume as per the transactions and costing rules configured.

    Hi, Steven :

    Sorry for not explaining clearly,

    I put a picture here.

    It is the component consuming.

The Cost Price field in the marked line.

It not editable but the help text said it can be enter manually.

    Thanks

Can you answer the question though - which line item are you trying to change, the parent item you are reporting or the component you are consuming?

    Hi, Steven :

It is in this form technet.microsoft.com/.../aa553458.aspx

    ==========================

The cost per unit for inventory receipts.

Enter the cost if it is not specified for the item number in the Released product details form or if you want to change the cost manually.

But I cannot edit it. Do you know why? Thanks

Are you talking about the receipt cost of the parent and not the components I presume?
