Modifying the asset user data form

Posted on by 206

I am trying to amend the field order on the Asset User Data window in Modifier so that the information is in a specific order for a client however in Modifier and preview the screen looks exactly like I have amended it when I go into GP 2013 SP 2 it is still in the original order and hasn't moved around. Is anyone aware of any reason why this isn't pulling through to GP?

    Laura,

And the answer is . . .  uncheck the User Data Auto Format checkbox in the Fixed Assets Company Setup Window.

    Kind regards,

    Laura,

I don't know what part of the world you are in, but we've got to negotiate better hours with our employers. <grin>

I'm here and would be delighted to take a look at what you've go if you could create a package file of your modified form and e-mail it to me right away. leslievail@earthlink.net

    Hi Leslie

Yes that was the first thing I did to check and I also made sure the user profile has the correct default reports group selected it shows with the . in the name that shows it is a modified window but not in the format I have changed it to.

    Regards

    Laura

    Hi,

Did you change the security in the Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports ID so that it was pointing to the Modified form instead of the original? Go to Administration | Setup | System | Alternate/Modified Forms and Reports.

    Kind regards,

    Leslie
