Does anyone know what is the functionality attached to the check box "Create depreciation adjustments with basis adjustments" on the Depreciation tab for a fixed asset in AX 2012 or earlier versions?
Path: Main menu > Fixed assets > Common > Fixed asset > Fixed assets > Value model > Depreciation tab
I had a scenario where the asset had a remaining life of 1 month and the balance depreciation was USD 40.00 which was less than the normal depreciation. System did not calculate the depreciation, but retained the USD 40.00 as the Net book value even though my Leave net book value and Minimum depreciation amount parameters were set as 0. But once i unmarked the Create depreciation adjustments with basis adjustments check box, system calculated the depreciation.
Confused as to what is the actual functionality of check box.
