Add markup to base price based on item options.

I have a group of items that have additional services (i.e. personalize an item) that can be added when an item from that group is purchased. I want to be able to mark up the base price of these personalized items by a fixed amount if that option is chosen without having to manually enter it each time or getting thrown off when the base price changes. I feel like this would be similar to the line discount but I'm not sure of the best way to implement it. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

J.

I was actually able to do a line discount based on the configuration (default or personalized) with a negative value and it marked up the price by the desired amount and rolls with the changes in base price.

Or another couple of options would be:

Either to specify the Addition services as 'Configurations'. You'll be able to define a different description for each configuration (so the customer knows what they are buying) and you can define a different sales price (or line discount) per Configuration.

Or, if you wanted to get really complicated you could look at the Product configurator - that has an option to flex the sales price based on the options you choose.

Hi jmcpeek, Have you tried setting up automatic charges in Accounts Payable? Another possibility would be setting a charge group / charges at the product/item level. All the best, Ludwig
