Usage Data - What happens when You reset it ?

Hi Community,

lately I have been confronted with the Topic Usage Data.

Process: Tools/Options/UsageData and clicking "Reset" .

I understand that the User Settings may be cleared and All user preferences may be reset to their shipping Defaults.

Since I am actually doing only development Work in the Background, reseting the Usage Data, definately won't affect the Properties I have set in Projects right?

And User Settings and User Preferences, are made by a User who uses AX in his Company and basically does this on the AX Interface, right ?

So basically, me as Developer in the Background I don't really set those User Settings and Preferences right ?

Hello,

Along with your usage data log and personlisations for screens it will impact project rights as well . Do save your roles and rights tamplets for specific users before resetting it . Strongly suggest to conuslt with your team before disturbing any user rights indirectly via reset.
