Restored both AX databases and now AOS won't start

I restored the 2 databases and then have tried to start the AOS.  After about 2-3 seconds I get the following services error:

ServicesError.jpg

In the event viewer I find the following:

A timeout was reached (30000 milliseconds) while waiting for the Microsoft Dynamics AX Object Server 6.2$01-MicrosoftDynamicsAX service to connect.

This seems odd. After I hit 'Start' on the service, 2-3 seconds later it fails.

Thank you everyone for the answers.  After fiddling with this for several days, I finally uninstalled AX, deleted the databases, re-installed AX to the versions we have in Production and then restored the Production databases.  Works great now.  Thanks!

    any errors in event logs,

long time back i also faced this issue after restoring databases , and I followed the instructions as it is , then it worked.

If the comments from Jelle are not working, try to check the details in the Windows Event Viewer. Probably you can find more related information here.

    Hi,

A quick check: Are the service accounts for the instance the same as where you sourced the databases from?

This has tripped me up in the past where the source and destination instances are in different domains...

Thank you for the reponse Andre.  After hitting 'Start', the service is in no state (just blank).  Nothing is happening as far as I can tell.  This little popup shown comes after 2-3 seconds from hitting 'Start'.

    Hi bRradlyJames,

When you see this error, is the service then still in starting state or stopped? The message like shown in your screenshot is usually shown after 30 seconds when the service is building up new file systems with the compiled CIL. (e.g. XppIL folder).
